Sound of Drums Reaction
Okay, thought I'd do this before continuing my Barcelona diary. xD
I was kinda disappointed not to see more of the Future Kind, having thought they would spend more time there before somehow returning back to the present. Although the Master makes up for it, I think. :)
I haven't seen very much of the Master before... I've seen the TV Movie on YouTube just once before it was taken down, and seen Five Doctors, Logopolis, Castrovalva, Deadly Assassin and Keeper of Traken, so I haven't seen Delgado's original Master. Yet. Hopefully. xD
We do have DVDs with the Master in them, though. Mainly Mark of the Rani. Just Mark of the Rani. Only Mark of the Rani. o.o
The Master makes funny faces! XD Such a parallel of the crazy Doc himself!
Opening the door... Closing the door... And opening again... And closing again... And the screaming turns on and off with it. xD And he's enjoying it so much!

Toclafane... Sounds appropriately phone-y.
CAR STUNTS! I'm almost disappointed they didn't hit Jack in the back of the car. xD
Aw, Leo won't get to be part of it with his family? Or will his absence be instrumental later? I certainly hope so, because he was injured in the Lazarus Experiment and was left out of that too.
Ooh, the Master's eager to talk to the Doctor, huh? And they're having such a nice chat. xD
I'm sad to say I didn't realise the drum-beat was delibrately a call to the DW theme tune until long after I first heard the Master's theme. Actually, they're kinda inserting his theme into the programme theme without touching the actual theme!
Aw, the Teleubbies! xD And according to the Fact File for this episode, he's quite fond of kid's programs. ^^

Well, no offence to those who liked it, but I didn't like the claim to canon Lungbarrow made. It WAS a great story, but I didn't agree with it's thoughts on canon.
Ha, Martha comments on the 'brother' thing people had been rumouring about. xD 'Too much TV' indeed!
Aw, the Doctor WAS unhappy about Jack's job while he waited...
Other Brother thought the Doctor was making Professor Yana's machine from 'Utopia' here... I didn't correct him, because I was too busy watching, but I knew he was wrong because Yana's machine was for a gigantic rocket.
Ha, the Doc proves he's not blind while Jack proves he knows love. Or at least lust. xD
UNIT! Yay!
If they ever have a return of the old Brig Lethbridge-Stewart, I will faint from shock.
But anyway... UNIT! Yay!
Hmm, I was wondering at this point whether the Master could see them or not. John Simm was wonderfully enigmatic with that. :)

Obviously the Master hasn't rebuilt his Tissue Compression thing he used to have. Lack of materials? Unlikely, as he has the Laser Screwdriver. Lack of time? ... Actually, that one's more plausible.
This looks much less like DT than elderly John Smith did in 'Family of Blood'. Almost unrecognisable, actually. How will he get out of that?
Brother at this point wondered if there would be a regeneration. Unlikely, as I'm pretty sure DT's signed on for Series Four.
