TV: Legend of the Seeker
Why do have all fantasy writer have the name Terry? I just mixed up Terry Goodkind with Terry Brooks, and there is Terry Pratchett too. Yt's Terryble!
Anyway, there is this new TV series, based on the the Sword of Truth books by Terry... uh, ah, ahm... Goodkind! It has gorgeous pictures from New Zealand, Maori actors are back, and some nice special effects. Even Haldir is back, I mean Craig Parker, as a baddie! The pilot was very predictable, the usual begin of the hero's journey in fantasy settings. The third episode was a bit less predictable, and had the hero in shacks on a wagon, he, he. The woman looked very contemporary though. It's a bit cheesy, but so far I am enjoying it. I didn't read the books, as I thought, because I read the books by Terry Brooks which was named Sword of Shannara or something.
