Well it seems all the news in the gaming community lately has been about the new consoles so I thought I'd chime in with my two cents. The PS3 launch has come and gone and with it reports of robberies, paying off homeless people, selling them on Ebay for MASSIVE PROFIT (yes I admit I included). In before 599 US DOLLARS, massive damage, etc.

For me, I'll grab a system if it has the games I want to play on them. Plus, I always wait a couple of years (give or take) after launch to let the kinks work out and a wide library of games to choose from to appear.

Another thing that fascinates me: What do some people have against "Greatest Hits?" I understand some games change (i.e. GTA Vice City/San Andreas) but what do people hate about the packaging/$20 price tag? Just curious, I don't care either way, I have some Greatest Hits games in my collection.

Well it has been a good year for gaming, you know Sony especially loves all the media attention. It will also turn dark for most people when there PS3 will not start in a few months because of the capacitor problem Asus is having on the PS3 motherboards. I'm sure the 2nd gen will have 100% Japanese capacitors. Nintendo did play it smart with having really what is a 480p Gamecube 2.0, that they will lose no money on at all. M$ also has a great lineup this year ( ... )
