Sesame Street

I was watching sesame street with my daughter today, and it reminded me of when I was little. My family was driving on the highway one day, and my brothers and I were in the back. We had a big blue station wagon. My brothers and I got very excited because we saw a car that had a Sesame Street sign in the window. We were pretty much lined up with them, so we yelled out the window, "We like your sign." They proceeded to pass the sign from thier car to ours. Random acts of kindness have far reaching possibilities. I smiled every time I saw that sign, and I still smile when I think about it. Those guys (it was a car full of men) are still making me smile, more than 25 years later, and all it cost them was a sign made on cardboard. The only thing I wonder is if those guys are still out there somewhere talking about the day they got a car full of kids to yell and smile by giving them thier Sesame Street sign. I like to think they are, and that it makes them happy when they think about it.
