The Unthinkable
I did something the other day that i've never done in my life...I shopped at the Gap...yes, the Gap, the pretty ugly clothing store found all around the world.
I think i've only stepped foot in that store twice in my life, this last time making it my second time. I was disturbed the first time i went in there...i experienced the same uncomfortable feeling i get when i enter churches. I don't belong in there, these people are different than me.
but i had earlier run into a friend at the mall that said the Gap had a massive sale on, and there were actually clothes there under $30 (never seen that before :P) So, i decided to brave the evil Gap. I pushed my way through all the Gapper shoppers and snagged like 10 pairs of cheap jeans (i needed jeans)
I tried on all 10, and only 1 fit good...Gap has weird clothes. they fit so goofy on me, and their sizes are weird. i usually wear size 4/5, but i had to try on 2's and even those were a bit big for me...i think so many chubby people shop there cuz they're sizes make them feel smaller? i dunno.
So yah, i bought a pair of jeans from the GAP. I felt almost embarrassed carrying the GAP bag around the mall, i wanted to hide it somehow. It felt like all the other Gappers walking around the mall were starring at me and were thinking, 'well looky looky who lowered themself to our level'
i feel dirty
but thats it for today. time to work at the zoo. ta ta!
