Egad.
I'm gonna need a laptop.
I'm teaching 3 discussion sections and 2 labs this quarter. eek. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to say to these kids on Wednesday morning....We received no instructions on that.
My office has 8 people and six desks in it. Also 6 chairs. However, we do have a window. To the outside.
Met another Russian grad student at a welcome party who informed me that there is, in fact, a well camouflaged russian community on this campus and offered to introduce me. The fact that the community seems to revolve around physics and drinking (two things I've recently developed a distaste for) and my general awkwardness and discomfort around other russians my age leads me to think that accepting his offer may have been a mistake. Oh well. It would have been rude and antisocial to decline, plus, he's so ridiculously gorgeous that all my higher reasoning skills kinda disappeared while we were talking.
I'm nervous.
