so I went up so visit the 'rents this past weekend. it was a gloomy weekend, wet and sometimes rainy, but it was a good weekend nonetheless. the 'rents are doing well. I met up with my dad, who was off work for the week after shoulder surgery, for lunch when I got into town on Friday, and then we made a nice dinner with steaks on the grill, and mushrooms and asparagus and fries - and yes, I helped cook. =P Saturday we went to IKEA (such a dangerous place for me, seriously lol) where I restrained myself and only got a couple new pillows for my armchair and a new drawer organizer for the kitchen and my dad got a new small tv stand to organize his multitude of dvd/cable box/stereo/etc thingys for by the huge tv that has it's own base. we took my new car so my parents could ogle. *snicker* I let my mom drive (my mom wouldn't let my dad drive 'cause he'd had more than one beer with lunch lol though I'm sure he woulda been fine). we spent Sunday morning then moving around furniture to satisfy my dad's preferences for what he was going to put where with the new organizer. it got me all dusty and made my allergies all mad at me. *snicker* had lunch with carencey77 before I headed back home - yummy peanut chicken rice bowl. will have to go back to that place another time.
have not yet watched Heroes or Fringe or SGA. will get around to them all eventually (probably SGA first lol). may not be keeping up with them as regularly as I thought, depending on time - I just need sleep, and considering I end up going to bed by 9/9:30 Sun through Wed, I end up putting off watching them for the weekend, and now I have a project to start working on for Christmas that'll take up the vast majority of my time for the weekends, so yeah. we'll see what gets watched and when. *shrugs*
