Ahhhhh Yuletide!
Assignments are going out tonight?!? I thought I'd have at least the weekend before the blind screaming panic set in.
Dear Santa,
I apologize for the length of the prompts. I wrote out the first three in advance, but decided to wing it on Discworld. Winging it is bad.
I honestly mean it when I say anything would be good, if you already have an idea. I read fanfiction, in part, to see what other people think about the shows/ books/ movies I love. If you have a radically different idea of these fandoms than I do, I would really be interested to see what you do.
Broadly, I'd like something not too depressing, although with American Gods I give you free rein to do whatever you like.
Squicks: Hmm... torture, sadism, child abuse, adult/child or rape. (Again, American Gods are exempt; I'll be cringing, but no more than reading any other myth)
Kinks: In my head, my requests are mostly Genfic, or complying with canon relationships. I'm usually fond of slash, but only Holmes/Watson or, possibly, a hint Jack/Stark seem likely to me. (I'd be happy with Jack/Henry, if you like, but I personally see them as friends. I really loved the storyline between Henry and Kim. I do dearly love Henry.) I am pretty fond of most canon relationships here: I'd love Vimes and Sybil as a family. (Here I go again. I'll stop now.)
Explicit sex is fine, but not expected. (I can't write it myself. I don't object, I'm just really, really bad at it.)

If not, don't worry. I liked reading the other Santa letters, but seeing the range of what people prefer, I just wanted to make it clear, again - write what you like. Have fun. 1000 words in any of these fandoms, and the details are optional.
I gave all sorts of story prompts, but you really don't have to follow any of them. I like characters and dialogue and angst and fluff. I do generally prefer stories with a plot, but you don't have to write me a novel.
I did have Gen or nonexplicit fic in mind, but if you want to write mad hot sex, I certainly won't object. Some days, that's exactly what I go looking for. I'm fine with any of these characters, in any combination, het, slash, femslash, as long as they are adults and happy to be there. (Or, you know, mind-controlling alien spores force them to :-)
(One Eureka thing I'll mention - I love every character EXCEPT Jo's new boyfriend. If you'd like to put her back together with Taggert or Fargo or any man or woman out of high school, or decide she's better on her own, I'd thank you. If you really think she belongs with the new guy and want to convince me of it, I'm listening.)
I know there's nothing on this journal to tell you anything about myself (except, maybe, that I'm very shy and never post?) I'll come up with a proper Santa Letter tomorrow, if I can.
