The first day of our little homeschool academy is Monday. (And if my typing doesn't improve, you all may wonder about my ability to school my kids. My delete key is getting a lot of use this morning.)
That means I'm supposed to be finishing up all my prep work today so I don't get swamped Sunday night. I've been working hard all week...okay, maybe half the week. We've also had to get in some end-of-summer fun stuff, naturally. I've gotten lesson plans finished and some of the organization stuff done. There's still lots to do today, but I've run out of steam. I know. That doesn't bode well for our homeschool year. Maybe if I could just motivate myself to *get a shower* and *get dressed*, then the rest will be much easier.
There's papers to organize into daily folders. A table to move downstairs. A computer to set up and speakers to find since the built-in ones don't work then see if it works at all. Boxes to fill with crayons and pencils and chalk. Space to find for books and notebooks. Pencils to sharpen. Small chalkboards to locate. Boxes of curriculum extras to unpack.
Just writing it out, I think, has given me the motivation to see it done. You know. After I get a shower.
