I went to sleep at some sort of reasonable hour last night. Maybe 11:30pm I think? Then I woke up at 11:30am. For once I felt fine. I had created a rather dier looking todo list last night, which was supposed to be split between today and tomorrow, so after poking my nose into Ukraine's business for a moment or two, I got started on that. Washing the towels so I could bring a beach towel with me and cleaning out the car so that 4 people and suitcases can fit in it on Saturday made up the bulk of the actually hard things to do, and I got those out of the way quickly.
One of the things that needed to be done was some photography. I was originally supposed to go to a park about a half an hour away with a waterfall, but I decided I had entirely too much to do to be driving for an hour (not to mention hoping that the price of gas drops before I actually have to drive that far for a photo op), so I used google maps to find another green space. I drove over there but it wasn't a park. It was a stadium. I took a couple pictures before realizing there was a guy sitting in a car watching me, and I was afraid he'd think I was a terrorist or something going to blow the place up (because really who wanders around a closed stadium with a camera?). So I stopped and went home. I did take about 10 pictures, so I called it photography for the week.
I read a chapter of my book club book, then read LJ and DW. All of a sudden it was 5pm, and I had no idea where the bulk of my day went. At any rate, I ate dinner, which was leftovers of the chicken and sweet potatoes. It was better after another day of stewing in its own juices, which was good.
Katrina finally got back to me just to basically say she's decided not to clean houses anymore. I think she has a wealthy boyfriend now, so I hope they stay together and she doesn't find herself having dumped all her clients with no one to pay her way in the world. But anyway, that's on her. She could have told me that 6 weeks ago, though!
Pika had posted something in the NaNoLanta chat a few weeks ago offering to clean houses, so I contacted them and asked them if they wanted a job. They did. They're going to come over Wednesday and both clean my house and clean my litter box next week. Then we'll figure out going forward.
It was time for my creative writing class, so I logged on. Scott hadn't sent out a reminder, and apparently I was the only one who remembered. I'm not surprised. Anyway, we looked at the edits I had done for the story we're working on, and made some more edits as well as marking some places for me to make some more edits over the next two weeks. This somehow took us a whole hour, and we logged off at 7pm.
I did a few more chores - filling the pets' water bowl, watering the dying house plants, buying cleaning supplies for Pika since Katrina always brought her own... I dunno, it was pretty busy.
At 9:45 I realized that I'm only 1,100 words from 110k, and that's not entirely unreasonable for 2 hours (although it's a good bit). So now I'm writing here, and we'll see how long this winds up being, then maybe I'll do a couple sprints or something to top my month off and end up at 110k, which is a great step towards 500k by the end of the year if we assume I'll write more during nano and camp, or that I'll increase my general amount I write over the next few months. I usually do.
So 10pm came and time to write here, and now I'm pretty much done with my day, and have little left to say. Perhaps I'll go do some sprints or something. I have actually accomplished quite a bit for the day I think, but none of it was my usual Thursday tasks, so I feel like I haven't accomplished anything because I don't get to check many tasks off on habitica. Indeed I have 26 remaining tasks (although one of them is writing here so 25 really). That's kind of a lot. But between not reading most of my reading and not watching any of my youtubes, here we are.
