Reason #1 to hate Air Canada: They have an infuriating tendency to change flights on you without notice, or with so little notice as to make no difference. Thought you were flying at 10:30am? Ha-HA! Try 7:30, beyotch!
Reason #2 to hate Air Canada: When you change a flight, not only do they charge a change fee (which is normal), if you change flights to a LOWER PRICED flight, they refuse to credit you the difference between the flights -- you just lose the money AND pay the change fee.
This is what happens when you have ONE AIRLINE for an ENTIRE COUNTRY. Competition is for suckers! My fanciful illusions about Canada do continue to crumble.
But jsridler is staying for Christmas, so ultimately there is only yay, and my bitching goes less than skin deep.
