Antigone Post

Antigone by Sophocles was another old-timey short story that yet again had a romacticsm type of ending. All the characters besides two die at the end, and of course it was a tragedy. All the stories written in those times seem to be tragedies. I guess it was the "thing" back then. Anyway I could only read some of the stroy that is probably why I did so so on the reading quiz. Betrayal also seems to be te main focus involved with the short story. The characters kill one another over reasons that seem to be farfetched. Reasons that are not backed with proof, but in those days they were not imprisoned due to killing another person, so the way of thinking and dealing with problems were quite different in those days. Today of course we could not act like that and be so dramatic simply because we would go to jail for a really long time. Writing has evolved throughout time as well as the writing styles and messages behind the words. But honestly I am glad that we are done with all the assingments and readings in this semester. All I have to do now is study these poems, plays, and short stories for the final exam that I still do not know when it is! I think Monday May 7th, because on the syllabus it says Wednesday May 7th but I checked the calendar, and the 7th of May is a Monday! Hopefully, Dr. Angel-Cann will announced the mistake and say when it actually is. This is the only exam I need to take this semester and I am going to study really hard for it so I can get a high grade, because I think I am on the bubble to passing this course. Wish me luck!!!!
