I don't know how I managed to do it, but somehow, in my vastly idiotic way, I somehow managed to delete a 106 page manual I've been working on since September...

One program wants to charge me $100 to recover the data, but I don't even know if that's the actual data I need (no proper preview feature you see). I'm trying another program right now... I can only hope and pray that it works.
I hate crying like some stupid damsel in distress while I sit here in abject horror over what I've done.
