Early this morning, I worked my fifth Saturday in a row for overtime at work. Thankfully, it is the last weekend officially scheduled for OT as I'm on the verge of burn-out. Diane was still sick so I spent time working on tickets and keeping the kids entertained. Thankfully, the phone support is closed today or it would have been insane.
Once the afternoon arrived, Diane started to slowly feel better. By the time 4:30 pm rolled around, she wanted to go to Red Lobster. Now, normally I'm all for that but as this is Valentine's Day weekend, I figured that we would have a very long wait. It was one of the few times that I didn't want to be right. We spent about 1.5 hours waiting for a table. Of course, trying to entertain a three and two year old during that time proved to be a challenge but overall, they were pretty good.
We just got home and put the kids to be as they were completely beat. Diane is talking to her sister while I'm updating my journal. It's a nice time to be relaxing this evening.
Update: One of my friends asked me on the phone yesterday about what she ate. Since she was still feeling under the weather, she limited her choices to salad, biscuits and a tiny bit of pasta. We brought the rest home but she asked me to finish it for her the next day.
