I may have an amazing opportunity...
So I've been looking for internships for photojournalism and also for language-study programs in China for over this summer. I'd be happy doing either one, honestly, but I think I just got the chance to do both!
There's an internship at a German company in Beijing where I would be taking pictures and helping edit a website: http://www.chinaorbit.com/ (notice there's a German and a Chinese version of the site avalible). I just emailed the business manager, who's already looked at my resume and asked me to contact him. This would be most excellent - 2 monthes of China! Though the internship probably wouldn't be paid, and I'd have to pay $1,500 for the airfare (though my Dean might pay that for me), $2,800 for the housing, language training, and internship placement with the Jacksonville University program (which isn't that bad, concidering that if I went through an Ohio University program I'd have to pay tuition plus housing etc.) and then whatever money for food etc. Which is kind of a lot seeing as I have...hmmm...a few hundred dollers left of what used to be a few thousand. That trip to Brazil really cleaned me out, as has my rent this year. Eesh. But this would be huge on my resume and would help me get a good paid internship next summer. Yeah - it's loan taking time! Let's hope I can get a good job after this college ordeal...
