Well, yesterday was the annual Scottish Festival in columbus.   We started going to it a few years ago and it is always a good time.  Lot's of fun scottish things to look at, and lots of great music.  I was a little disappointed that the Caledonian Kitchen wasn't there this year though.  I was really hoping to pick up some more veggie haggis. Yes, you can get vegetarian haggis and it is awesome.  Oh well.  We got to listen to some great bands including my dad's pipe band, Southern Indiana Pipe and drums.

This a video of my dad's band.  They pipers are standing in a circle and he is the one on the opposite side of the circle facing the camera.  They really do a great job and it is so cool to watch them.   It's kind of fun to be with the band too.  ;)

After the festival we went to the evening Ceildh which in Scotland is usually a wild party with lots of drinking, music, and dancing.  In america it is more of a sit down affair, although there was one English woman who was doing her best to get every one into the partying mood.  She came to our table at one point and asked us if we wanted to buy a bottle of wine for our table.  We decided to go for it but I guess we should have asked what kind of wine before purchasing because we ended up getting a bottle of  White Truck Wine, and four plastic cups for 18 bucks.  I suppose it wasn't terrible wine.  It especially got better after the first glass, and we certainly got a good laugh out of it.

Later on in the evening the English woman became quite drunk and kept coming around trying to get us to drink more and come out and dance.  Unfortunately, she was the only one besides the kids in the audience who really got up and danced.  She was having a blast though, and we were having fun just watching her go crazy.
