[Normally, Lelouch is an extremely calm and collected individual, able to handle most things thrown at him without thinking twice about his course of action. He had always been like that, from an early age he took the bull by the horns and never looked back - he was never one to plan ahead, never one to handle things until his life depended on it

[Though he's never spoken with the young girl, he knows who she is thanks to her dreams and broadcasts and to her being friends with Nunnally. Alice Liddell, roughly six years in age, once cared for by Jean Valjean, seems to be as innocent as they come.]
I hope that's not the case, Alice, but I'm a bit concerned since I haven't heard from her. She's not the kind of person to ever pass up the opportunity to eat pizza.

C.C.'s missing? [She's not exactly asking him - that question had already been answered. But it was hard to believe, all the same.]
I haven't heard from her, but I'll try calling her too. Don't worry about me - I'm at home now. Just try to find C.C., okay?

[Lelouch looks down at the Dreamberry screen at the concern on his sister's face. He wanted to avoid having her worry, (he never wants to cause undue stress on his beloved sister), but he felt that a public broadcast was the most efficient way to acquire any information.
With a sigh, his eyes move away from the Dreamberry and focus on something else in the room, something that wasn't his sister's face.]
I worry about you all the time. After everything you and I have been through, how could I go one second without worrying about you? [He hesitates] I just don't know what to think about this... I've come up with at least one dozen scenarios, each of them less than desirable, as to why she hasn't contacted me within the past six hours.

[She frowns, her fingers wrapping tighter around the Dreamberry.
She shouldn't be surprised at what he said. She worries about him also, always had.]
But I'm safe, Lelouch. [She honestly believes that.] Besides, shouldn't I be the one to be worried about you, if you go looking for her?
[She knows it won't stop him from worrying, but it was worth a try anyway.]
I hope you find out what happened.

[He looks back at the Dreamberry, at his sister's innocent face.]
Don't leave the house, Nunnally. I want you to stay here and keep the doors locked. I don't want anything to happen to you, either.

He never wants to hear it, to be honest, but now is probably the worst time to accost him about how dangerous she is and how he shouldn't be living with that woman and all of the other things he knows Clovis is thinking.]
Yes, C.C. [He pauses] Is there anything else you wish to say to me, Clovis? I'm in no mood for conversation right now.

Well, I can see the cause for concern. {These words sound like sarcastic Magnus, but he's actually trying to be serious, even if he is not a fan of Lelouch. C.C. is still within his circle of people of interest}

You two keep in fairly close contact, if I'm not mistaken. Have you spoken with her today? Do you have any idea where she might be?

But her name was still on the contact list? {He would ignore the video call and go flipping himself, but Magnus is lazy. Conversation is easier}

[He minimizes the call and opens his contact list, slowly scrolling through the names, not wanting to risk the chance of missing it should her name still be there. He stares silently at the screen, almost positive he must have missed her name. So, he goes through the list of contacts again, and again.]
Her name is no longer there, Magnus.

Miles Edgeworth will need to speak with you. Immediately.

Is there no information you can give me before I speak with him?

...But yes, I could. Though I don't believe you would be pleased with what I would have to say.

[Why wouldn't she be part of this investigation? She sticks her nose into everything in Somarium...
And then it hits him, by "this particular investigation" she means the investigation into her death, Cosette's death, and... Somebody else? Could she be implying that C.C. is the newest-- no, no she's immortal, that's not possible.]
You think that she's met the same fate you did last month?
