okay you really need to talk to your retail manager about this and just be like yo , we're adults... this isnt high school again....no need to talk to everyone else behind my back , when you have a problem please, come and talk to me.

this is a sticky situation only because its a retail managers word against yours. the only thing i see that can help is if you encourage customers to write letters about your service to Corporate. i had a few people do it already.. the MRO looooves that. if they see that people are extremely satisfied with your level of service and you have an excellent attitude, then maybe someone will realize that its just personal issues between you and the retail manager maybe...
just say to customers " i'd really appreciate if you could just take 5 mins of your time and write an email to mac saying how great my service was... i'm up for a promotion blah blah and blah." think of something along the lines of that.

i'm sort of going through the same thing at my counter.... except I"M the new girl at the counter , not my manager.

for the most part, i've been seeing this happen alot in the company.. managers let the title get to their heads a little much and decide that they can determine whoevers fate.
just be careful, becasue this girl sounds shady as hell.

and as for bringing a senior pro artist into this, she was dead wrong. they have nothing to do with anyhting in my opinion except teach us awesome things.

and if all else fails , call your MRO.

good point.. and thanks for reading it and giving me your input..i felt like this was handled the wrong way but i wanted other opinions on it as well..

its so weird because i often get compliments and have had some called in or emailed..and i even get messages on freaking MYSPACE from people telling me that they are always so stoked to see me at the counter because i'm so nice and helpful to them..

who knows..you ask your customers to email about you?

i dont ask them , they usually just ask me if we have comment forms to fill out. like clinique does.
so i usually just direct them to maccosmetics.com
