Regaining consciousness in an unfamiliar location can be a scary ordeal - hell, a majority of the familiar locations can still be scary. Brief descriptions of each game's environment (connected to each other through the
Manor of Sleep) can be found on this post, as well as a few noteworthy areas and items that are a part of them.
Every area* from every game is available to explore, but it would be too TL;DR to describe them all here. If you would like more in-depth information for your RP purposes, please refer to the
FAQ.
* Please Note: Characters that find themselves in our version of the Manor of Sleep are "trapped". Rei's house The awake/real world isn't freely accessible.

Rougetsu Island Himuro Mansion (Fatal Frame)
Himuro Mansion is centuries old, once owned by a family that had great power over the surrounding area. Many, many years ago, a horrific disaster occurred that killed its residents, leaving no survivors. A popular Japanese novelist came to this supposedly haunted mansion to do some research for an upcoming book.
The mansion's entranceway is connected to the Manor of Sleep, taking shape from the memories of several people that have seen the unthinkable within its walls.
The Rope Hallway is a trademark of Himuro Mansion. Ropes hang from high ceiling rafters, usually lifeless. At the end of the hall stands a large, old mirror; if you see something moving in it, pray that your eyes are just playing tricks on you.
The Rope Altar is a room with sacred ropes strung along its walls and across its ceiling. In the center lies a large round pedestal, its stone surface stained a deep red. Around the pedestal are five rack-like devices, all of them wound tightly with more ropes.
Priestess were said to be purified by moonlight within the Moon Well. There's a complex mechanism inside a shrine that is used to gain access to the well, and there is nothing else at the bottom than the mummified remains of one Priestess and the entrance to...
The Hell Gate, a large stone gate within a dark, cave-like chamber. If a certain ritual was not performed every ten years to seal the gate, a terrifying and all-consuming Malice would burst forth, cursing or killing everyone it touches.
All God's Village (Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly)
All God's Village was once a small, rural farming community that both feared and respected twins. Twin Shrine Maidens (or their male counterpart, Altar Twins) were revered as guardian deities that protected the village. Crimson butterflies were important, too; if you followed one, who knows where it might lead you.
The Osaka House is connected to the Manor of Sleep, taking shape from the memories of those that were "spirited away". The rest of the village can be reached through Osaka's front door.
Twin Deity Statues can be found along pathways inside the village, as well as the in forest at its borders. Every statue is identical - on them, one twin is always missing its head...
The Twin Houses (Kiryu and Tachibana), alike in decoration and design, can be found in the heart of the village. They are connected by two symbolic bridges, one above ground and one below.
The large Kurosawa House to the north of the village is where outsiders were able to find temporary residence. The head of the house would always ensure visitors of a warm, hospitable welcome. Many elaborate rooms and religious altars can be found within Kurosawa House, as well as a hidden pathway that leads deep underground.
Anyone who looks into the Hellish Abyss beneath the village will be blinded by what they see. What rises above the malicious darkness isn't always bad, however. Sometimes a sad, eerie song can be heard from the cavernous chamber surrounding the Abyss - other times, it is the echo of a young woman's mad laughter.
Manor of Sleep (Fatal Frame III: The Tormented)
The Manor of Sleep can be found in a dream world covered in slow, perpetual snowfall.
zerodressing's version of the Manor is able to draw in even those unaffected by the loss of a loved one or Reika's Tattoo Curse. Its pull is stronger - so strong, in fact, that anyone lured here will be trapped forever (as far as they know).
There are four Doll Altars in the north, south, east, and west corners of the Manor. These rooms were where countless tiny dolls representing the pain of worshiping outsiders were impaled against the walls by young Handmaidens. Tattooed Stakes made of stone and colorful Purity Stones are also located in each of these rooms.
Within the Wooden Figure Room is a statue of a Buddha "holding reins", as well as a number of human-shaped sacks hung from the ceiling by ropes around their necks. If you peek into the room from the peephole located above it, a corpse will be seen hanging on the reins, yet there is never a body when standing within the room.
The Chamber of Thorns is the place where Tattooed Priestesses were put to eternal sleep. There are numerous priestesses pinned to the walls and floor, dreaming for eternity lest someone unwisely chooses to wake them. Behind this stone chamber is a path that leads to...
The Abyss of the Horizon, also known as the Sea of Endless Night, is the path to the afterlife. It resembles a dark sea, its opposing shore covered in fog. This area has a small wooden boat and lanterns floating on the water's surface that are said to guide souls to the Other World.
Rougetsu Island (Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse)
Attempting to leave the Manor of Sleep through its front entrance and lantern-filled garden will lead you to the water's edge several feet away. A (strangely crewless) boat can be taken a short distance across the ocean, but it will only travel to one location: Rougetsu Island. The sky here is always dark, the only visible light coming from a tall lighthouse and the full moon hanging above it.
Rougetsu Hall was created to treat people afflicted with Getsuyuu Syndrome, a psychological disorder unique to the island. All the rooms that were once occupied by syndrome patients are located in this building, and each of them is messed up unique.
Kunihiko Asou Museum is a small museum within Rougetsu Hall dedicated to an occultist by the same name. If you're going to try finding something that can fend off ghosts, this place is probably your best bet. Too bad most of the cameras on display are broken.
Haibara Hospital is just what it says on the tin. There's a phone in the main foyer that receives calls from both the living and the dead. Seven daysss. There is also a pathway that leads to an underground Utsuwa stage.
Tsukiyomi Peninsula Lighthouse has a shrine with an organ located at the apex, just above where the light is. It's the only thing on the island that works the way it's suppose to.
