Nadal dominated Roland Garros. I wanted Federer to win since he has never won French Open before, and i wanted him to maintain his ranking. He still does, of course, but hell, Nadal climbs up pretty freaking fast!
Oh oh! There's two minor articles from The Star that i cut out and stuck it on my table, because i like it so much =). Since i have nothing better to do, i shall type it out!
Birthday Curse
PARIS: Roger Federer might want to think twice before playing an opponent who is celebrating a birthday.
Rafael Nadal marked his 19th birthday by beating Federer in the semi-finals on Friday.
"My best present for today is this match," said a breaming Nadal.
The Swiss star also lost to Marat Safin on the Russian's 25th birthday in the Australian Open final in February.
If I'm not mistaken, missallsunday called it a birthday curse too! Coincidence? I, on the other hand,believe that a bed positioning deal was made XP.
Sportsmanship
Centre court applauded Rafael Nadal for overruling the chair umpire to call one of Roger Federer's shots in.
The call in question came at 40-15 in the fourth set with Federer serving. One of the Swiss player's groundstrokes skimmed the baseline and the umpire ruled it out.
Nadal walked over to the scuffed clay inside the line, pointed to it with his racquet, and conceded the point to Federer. The crowd loved it.
It's not the first time Nadal has made a magnanimous gesture that cost him a point.
"I've always don't that," he said.
Aww! Maybe being young has something to do with it. He's still innocent and pure and honest XD. I like that thought.
I bought a Batman figurine! Yeah! I call it Batman Bale. Or maybe i should call it Teddy Batman. Oh well. I'm going to make it make out with Dante, and when i get my Obi-Wan Kenobi, they can have a threesome! Yeah! Yes, Dante no longer loves Belldandy. Belldandy can go with Kenshin.
Went to Ikea / Ikano today with Shaz and Amirah. Bought a funky red watering can for the flower box thing outside my window [like hell i'm ever gonna use it, but it's the thought that really counts =)] and a huge pretty horrendous dreamcatcher. It's not much to look at, but i'm thinking that, being a thing that catches bad dreams, it naturally turns ugly, right? Yeah, thought so.
