Ecotarium

We finally went to the Ecotarium this weekend and one thing I noticed. It is surprising how much bigger museums are when you are travelling with young children. This museum would probably been about a 1-2 hour tour for us in 2004, but now it was 3.5 hours and we skipped a floor or two.

The one thing that stands out to me is, How could anyone work there and not want a giant spinning metal disk to play with in their living room? That thing was freakin' awesome. Basically its probably a 4 foot diameter parralel to the floor that they have rotating with a motor. Then they give you a bunch of small disks/rings/tennis balls to play with and if you balance it right you can get the disks spinning and let go and it will stay spinning in place etc. Now if it weren't for those pesky two year olds crashing tennis balls into all the disks I managed to get spinning...
