i'm sorry about the whole deal with your sister. I'm going through the same thing currently with mine (i just wrote about it in my journal actually.) and i know what its like to watch that happen. =/

Well, my sissy had got involved with a man of whom my family was disapproving, because he was a 'jobless bum', while my sissy aims to pass the exams to work as a teacher in state schools! It was her first relationship ever (though she's almost 25, but anyway!) and she's all bummed! She got even worse due to the arguments with my mum (yeah, my mum can be a bit of a hypohondriac and paranoid at times!) So, everything is going crummy for her this period! Pathetic.

So things didn't work out with the "Jobless Bum" and that is why everything went downhill? It's extremely difficult to watch and not be sure what to do to help her. Now I haven't seen her for around a month because she's been jumping around between hospitals and I have NO clue what to say when she comes home! Oh well I might possibly be able to avoid saying anything at all.

Well, I don't understand why she turned downhill, but I try to calm her a bit! However, your sissy does need help! I know it will take much trouble, but...let's hope your family's effort will be fruitful sooner or later!
