getting settled in...

no i didnt move or nething. im just getting settled with a new life. transition never comes easy. playing with my band has started a rift between me and my best friend Andy. no matter what in this life, until i get a family started, MUSIC COMES FIRST!!!. im not meaning to sound like a dick, but this is my life. ive worked so hard these past 10 years to develop my music, i dont want to abandon it now. this was always the plan as far as im concerned. now away from that drama for a moment. mom seems to be getting better. the doctors confirmed that she did indeed have a 2nd stroke a few weeks ago. though it was mild she still has to play catch up to get her muscles strong again. the band has provided me an escape from worrying about mom and grandma, but i wont let it keep me in denial of whats going on. im setting up my room for recording on my own now too. our bands setup now, though very basic is amazingly precise. were able to mix very well. im looking at about another 400 bucks of hardware and software i need to get to start that up, till then im recording a couple songs a night at Kurts with the band. just recording on my own provides me a freedom of control, and if u know me...IM THE BOSS!!!...lol... we recorded 2 songs last night at Kurts, which brings the magic weekly number to 3 songs. we will finish those up either tomorrow or sometime next week, and pursue some new ones. our goal is a 6 to 8 track demo for this lady that owns an independent label. if it fails with her, i have a long list of places to solicit, PLUS i got an offer for radioplay on my buddy daniels station out in Rancho Cucamunga (i prolly butchered that). ill prolly continue to post lyrcis up here periodically, prolly mostly my stuff but i might through on some 750mgs stuff too. eventually as well i will make our music available both online and by request to whomever wants to hear it. we are still holding auditions for a bass player too, just so Zack and i can split the guitars up. not a real necessity at the moment but just somthing to keep in mind if u happen to be a brilliant bassist ;). okay ive updated and rambled enough...
