ART: Desert Princess (Original, G)
So this is mostly inspired by the exhibit "Afghan Gold" that came through the Museum of Fine Arts here a few years ago. I just couldn't keep the idea out of my head, so here's a much-evolved version of the concept.

Notes: This piece is done without top-layer lines. I did a very basic outline to place her features, then built it up in layers of color applied with fairly thick brushes. I'm pretty pleased with the effect.
