a good week

It's been a good week, if busy.

I have a couple of looming deadlines - one for crafts, one for art.  So I've been alternating between quilting and illustration while watching TV. Mostly I did a re-watch of Season 3 of Babylon 5.  Now I'm torn between watching the last few episodes or letting it go and waiting until I acquire Season 4.

minimerlin was a fun time, I really enjoyed meeting so many other fans who have the same level of enthusiasm (and in many cases extremely higher levels of obsession) with Merlin as I do.
And while I was in Philly, I spent a very lovely afternoon with Keet, Sam, and Maya.  We went to Rittenhouse Square and the Art Museum.

My flight home was less comfy than the flight up, but definitely on time.  I got back just in time to visit with my cousin Gary, who was in Houston visiting before leaving for a two-year stint working in Germany, the lucky bastard.  ;)  I hadn't seen him in five years, at least, so it was really good to get together again.

Yesterday I went for dinner and a movie at Studio Movie Grill with Katy.  We saw How to Train Your Dragon.  This was a phenomenal film.  I went in knowing nothing about it, didn't even know there was such a movie until Katy told me.  It was genuinely moving, there were great characters, brilliant writing, and (my favorite!) true consequences for the terrifying, cataclysmic final battle against seemingly impossible odds.

Now I am continuing my re-watch of the complete Indiana Jones series.  I just got to the fourth one, which I only saw the once in the theater, so it should be pretty interesting.  I really enjoyed it when we saw it at its release, so I expect to enjoy it again. And the first three have been excellent entertainment while I sew.
