I almost went to see it again last night! I pulled out of the parking lot by a hair. The only reason why I didn't go, I wanted to see it with my dad the next time. At the end of the GI Joe review, I was so surprised that it was GI Joe that I was the only one (dumb me!) to go Daaaaang! at the end of it. One of the things that bothered me about the movie was the way Uhura advanced on the bridge. I mean, come on. "Uh, I don't know the difference between Vulcan and Romulan." What? Are you serious? Even if that was possible how about the UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR? And yes, as you can only rant about the missing obvious safety features, I can only really rant about that. Awesome movie!
I loved the movie as well. My quibble was, what the hell was NERO doing for the 25 years between Kelvin and Enterprise?? That massive ship has been roaming around for a quarter century and nobody had heard of it? (Apparently he lost the top of an ear in that time, but sheesh.)
I spotted the red-suit Olson as well, but LATE. HA!
