Both my children have a high pain tolerance for bumps, bruises, wounds, and shots.
I took Wee2 in for a flu shot. He whimpered for a bit as we sat him down for his shot-he remembered what was coming from months ago and that it was going to hurt-and then cried during the shot for less than ten seconds afterwards. Then he was happy, chatting, and had no further issues.
We have never made a big deal with either Wee1 or Wee2 when they got hurt. If they cried, they got hugs, but not much coddling, and if they didn't complain, then we ignored it, too.
