I've had a boring, lovely holiday full of reading, movies, relaxation, and yum. and sooo many parties! I tried, I really did, to hit as many as I could but I sorta ran out of steam toward the end there. hermit mode has engaged, mostly due to my long-awaited stack of fun books being no longer off limits. I am fighting myself daily now to do more than lay around reading. I still haven't put away x-mas decor or gifts. must do that today.
I am fixing to brew some beer today, a keg for my birthday and one for the wonderlounge. vanilla porter, a first for me. hope it turns out good. brewing will start full speed ahead this month, I like to get moving on it in January cause May sneaks up pretty quickly.
I am looking forward to this spring. I've taken an area facilitator role (365/24/7), I've signed up for belly dancing, and I am hoping to take either pottery classes or cake decorating classes also. gotta work on my chili recipe for the super bowl- I want a goddamned trophy this year! I think I found secret ingredient No. 1.
we are also gearing up for our spring fundraiser- an encore performance of the Rocky Whorer Picture Show, Feb. 5th- on stage at Elysium! it will totally awesome. live action with props and the works, audience participation, followed a burlesque troupe performance and dancing.
ok, off to make beer. if anyone would like to learn how, we are offering brewing lessons and keg sponsorship- we teach you to brew and you get to drink your beer at the bar at flipside.
