Last night while out with S., we were on High St. getting money out of an ATM when we came upon a man who was calling 911 because a car had just backed into his wife's motorcycle, and the driver, a man, was clearly loaded. I spoke with one of A.'s friends today. She called to talk about the drug arrests in my town. When A. snorted his first line of heroin with his buddy who was arrested last week, she was there snorting her first as well. Luckily, her parents had a way to get her into a good treatment program, using the same consultant  that we did. She was also a ( Read more... )

After reading the article, I watched the video of the police rounding up these young men, handcuffing them and transporting them.  A. is flying in tomorrow night from Boulder. He hasn't been home since January, and the kids are soooo excited to have their big brother home, even if it's only for a few days.
