(Still accepting posted koans and private-email guesses. Others who find the rule will be added to the list above.)
Large flat yellow with the base of a weird medium red inserted into its base. (Let's call this shape a diamond.) Upright medium green, being pointed at by the red.
The diamond from the white koan, made with blue pieces. Another diamond, made of flat medium blue and weird small blue. The small points only at the weird medium; its pointing line passes above the large. The tips of the four blue pyramids are not co-planar.
Rules in effect for this game:
- You may only have one koan at a time waiting to be marked by the Master. Having a koan marked earns you a guessing stone.
- You may spend N stones at any time to make N guesses. There is no restriction based on your koan being marked, other outstanding guesses, etc -- if you have the stones, you can spend them.
- Guesses are made secretly, by email to mattlistener at livejournal.com. You can send multiple guesses in one email if you like, and have the stones to do so. Do not post guesses to the thread, they will be deleted.
- All incorrect (but not disproven) guesses will garner a posted counterexample, as usual. I'm interested to try this with never-public guesses, but if a majority of Students prefer I will include a rot13 of the guess with every counterexample -- let me know with your first koan.
- Each Student is encouraged to continue playing until they win. If we play with never-public guesses, then any Student who correctly guesses the rule will be acknowleged in this message.

A
summary of the whole table, updated 3/18/04 3:30am EST.
(I'm setting this up from the start, since the creation of the table summary once lots of koans are out tends to trigger near-correct guesses -- which gives an unfair advantage to those who happen to see it first.)
The new rot13 site.
