My weekend was moderately productive. I spent one day writing reports with workmates at my place. They were both astonished at how quiet my house is. One of the thingsI love about my house is the deep quiet that pervades it almost all the time. I like the radio, I like music, but proper quiet is a luxury!
Jen and Rob stayed a couple of nights. It was great to hang out and I slept on the couch. My couch, I now know, is super comfortable! It's modular but the cushions are very firm so no sagging spots. It's so comfy that if I lived by myself I'd probably sleep on it quite often. When Corch and I had a place to just the two of us and he was away I'd sleep on the couch sometimes... I'm not even sure why.
Yesterday Anth and I picked up Jen and Rob and took them out to Sherbrooke Forest for a walk. We saw cockatoos, galahs, kookaburras, lyrebirds and a wallaby with a joey. It was ace! And the sunset on the way home was super vibrant. Anth had lots of great facts about Australian animals and plants so even I learned something;). I was pleased that my fitness has improved since last time I did that walk - I made it up the hills with no problem and no stops, unlike last time!
Next two weeks is going to be lots of report writing and planning the Christmas party. Hopefully I'll have everything done by then. And Jen and Rob are going to be back in Melbourne for the Christmas party too! Hooray!
