Winter Ball

Alloh lovers,

This weekend was absolutely fabulous!
Friday night was the Aesculpian Ball (vet school's winter ball), and it was a blast. A good group of us decided to go all formal (even black and white affair).
I picked up Kristin and I gave her a coursage (sp?), and it was so hilarious. She said, "I haven't gotten a coursage since high-school." I replied, "That's okay, I haven't bought one since highschool!"

Now, this is probably a testament to my pretentiousness, but I could have done a better job than the florist, in either case they were a surprise to be had!

So, we head out to dinner and ended up being a bit (fashionably) late and were the first ones there with Jen not far behind us. And we were at the restaurant for 30 minutes before anyone else showed. HAHAHAHA.

Anyways- then the dance. We get there and have a blast! I ended up dancing with I don't know how many people. And, and! there was a Mother Fucking Dance-Off! Yeah baby! Round one was pretty tame but fun, (NY, FL, Clay, Kristin, West Bank, Chelsea and Erin) and we showed off our talents. Round two was hard core. Jessi breaks out her 50's dance steps combined with her awesome dress that fanned out perfectly as she spun 'round. She challenges me next and I pop my suit coat and start invoking my inner hippy chic. I start doing some spin moves getting faster and lower to the ground and then I jump and land in a split (ahh, my famous trademark). Clay shouts, "HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!" and everyone screams. Totally kick ass.

Then at one point they play the Grease MegaMix and Erin and I danced together for that, totally a blast. We had great dance chemistry. And Katherine too.

Rachel and I sung to each other a song we didn't know the words too and decided that was going to be our wedding song.

The odd thing was I could tell people were talking about me... hopefully good things... because my oracle senses were tingling. At one point one of my friends walks up to me and says "we were just talking about you. You're a really good dancer, you know that? And you're really handsome, too. Above all, out of everyone here, we're really glad you came."

Very odd, a great compliment, but odd. Kinda made me think a little. I wonder what people were really thinking that they had to tell me this. Hmmm...

So, then the after party (because, a dinner and a dance party are just not enough!). Back at Kristin's we partied to about 6:30 am. Oy vey. Because at 10:30am kevin and I were to help Aisha move. HAHAHA, not gonna happen.

We finally got moving at 10:30, I took everyone back to their respective houses/cars, and Kevin and I go back to his place and curl up with Shawn (she had a rough night with the wine....). And the three of us were cuddled to about 11:30 (already one hour late....), and then we go to my place, I say "I'm gonna hop in and take a quick shower." "What?!? We're moving stuff all day, you're just gonna get dirty again." "Kevin, before I go anywhere, I need to be clean."

Then, by the time I'm done with that and we grab lunch/breakfast at Sonic (my first time!), we get to Aisha's at 1. And from 1 to 8:30pm or so we're moving stuff all day. Oy vey. My hands were so puffy by the end.

So, I drop Kevin off and I head back home coz Tyrel and Caleb were having a dinner party (that I was about 4 hours late to, still had plenty of VERY delicious food!). I grab a plate, sit down on the floor, eat it and pass out on the living room floor from sheer exhaustion. I heard someone say, "Is Brendon okay?" and somebody, prolly Caleb, said, "Oh, he's had a very long 48 hours."

The next day Tyrel, Caleb and I watched 5 movies! PJ's all day (I managed to change at 4 coz of an errand I had to run). Still, by the last movie, I passed out on the living room floor again (same spot) and woke up at 3 am.

By Monday, I was able to function again, but my knee's sore. It hates me. Makes me sad. I hope I didn't do any permanent damage....

Oh, and it's freezin today! SO COLD!
I think I saw a flurry!

Love to you all!
Love,
B-luv.
