I'm in the process of reading a PDF of a textbook for an introduction to psychology class and I've remembered why I prefer dead-tree books: They are portable and don't require batteries. I have to sit at my desk and page-down through the text, which is not bad for a short passage or work, but is more than a little tedious when reading through several dozens of pages.
I like to be able to pick up my reading material and move to a different place to sit, or even lie down while reading. I like to be able to flip back and review parts of the text easily. I like not having to sit at my desk while reading, I would rather recline and kick my feet up.
On the plus side, I'm making progress on my new plan for education. I figure that I should be ready for the first of four more
CLEP tests by about the middle of January. I should also be able to get tuition assistance info from work by then, too.
