I got started on my job search today. I've called the friend of my cousin twice now, and have heard nothing back. Crappy. But, I went into the Workforce Center at school and they had some interesting listings. The most interesting one is as a Teachers Aide/Technology for Fullerton School District. If you are really interested in education - check out www.edjoin.org. Lots of school districts list there. Problem with teachers aide jobs is they will always be 9 months/year, so the pay will not likely net you $2K. However they do usually have great benefits and some 12 month positions, so check this out and see if there is anything close enough:

An excellent resource, thanks. I bookmarked it, but I think for the time being I'm decided. I will be going to school, and probably working whatever hours I can in the tutor center. As I said above, it's pretty much do or die time. I can go for it now, or end up perpetually stalled on my educational path.

Plus, as much as I'd love to move back to Nevada County, I just can't do it until Andrea can transfer to the area, and that's probably a good 10 years off.
