Gossip Girl - Between the premier on iTunes and the encore showing on Sunday, I'm caught up (ETA on Wed: Well, not anymore, but I hope to catch tonight's ep on Sunday). I'll admit to being completely shallow and mainly watching for the hawtness that is Matthew Settle. Thoughts so far: Matthew Settle is as hawt as ever. I stopped feeling sorry for Blair the minute she started using Dan's little sister. I actually felt a little sorry for Serena at the end of ep 2. Especially because it really seems she's trying to do better/make amends. Chuck is an utter and complete ass, and just the kind of character you expect to find in this subject matter. I loved the little bit at the end where Dan looked back and Serena looked back but They Missed Seeing Each Other! So incredibly cliched, of course, but still. You just want them to work out. And know that probably won't. But it'll be an interesting ride while they try.

Cold Case - I actually tuned in because it looked like an interesting ep from the previews. Of course, phone call came half-way through and missed part of it. Still pretty good ep, it actually took an angle I wasn't expecting after finding about Nathan and one of the students. I actually expected it to be him. So that was a new twist. And no wonder she seemed to 'expected' it when they cornered her, she had read the secret about how she was going to die.

Dammit. Every. Single. Time. *sniff*

(P.S. Previews for next week? Gonna have to watch Shark afterward. Is that Jim Ellison I see? Eeeeee!!!!!)

The Hills - Have I said "go Elodie" lately? Because, completely, go Elodie. Except that lying to Heidi was kinda crappy, but who goes away on their anniversary when there is a huge work-thing planned? You do the anniversary the day before or the day after or when work isn't in the way. Seriously, when it comes to 1 year anniversary of relationship with idiot fake fiance or The Emmy's, you do the Emmy's.

(also, how did she not know that was Elodie's last day? Everyone else seemed to. And why did Brent say it was okay for her to not be there if it was covered? And why didn't he check to see who was covering it?)

Vegas stuff was kinda stupid, as figured. JB is icky and proves it more and more every day. Loved he got called out on drinking before the toast. And while I don't blame him for maybe not liking his girlfriend's friends, at least be tolerant if not try to be nice or don't go on a trip that is only going to be you and them. Go Lo for making out with Frankie? Not surprised Lauren and Brody were kissing.

Dude, Spencer's little 'No you don't' when Heidi said I love you? Not on. Manipulative bastard. He wanted her to go for the job. He should understand that bigger comes with bigger responsibilities.

Again, previews looked a LOT more interesting than the show was tonight. Can't wait to find out what happens with the Lauren/Heidi show down. Apparently Heidi's all "I didn't do anything" still. Umm, don't hide behind Spencer. She had to have known. She should have said something - either to Lauren in warning/apology or to Spencer to stop. Instead she's been playing off of it. She's the one who made the making movies comment at Ketchup. She's the one taking part in the staged pictures.

The Unit - Yay! The Unit's back together. And the Col. dumped his wife. And Mack and Tiffy aren't (even if they did up the Tiffy angst at the end). Knew all along that Hector wasn't really going to turn. And yay for Mack signing the rogue CIA guy's name to the fake!confession. Much love also to Jonas for the whole "we don't have to kill you here, if we can get in here we can kill you at home, etc..."

::

ANTM - Again, Heather, Salisha (sp?) and Lisa were my favorites. Wasn't too surprised by the final two, though I was really hoping Bianca wouldn't be called. She is sooo this season's Jade. She can go home now, pls.

Criminal Minds - Grrr at Strauss... Never have I more hated a character on TV. The writers and Jayne Atkinson should be commended for such a great job. Especially Atkinson for actually making Strauss human and even a little sympathetic at the final crime scene and at in her office at the end. However, not sympathetic enough to make me like her or not appreciate Prentiss' little 'fuck you' resignation while Hotch was in 'requesting his transfer'.

I was a little miffed at Haley for what came off as her rather passive-aggressive 'you know it's the right thing' with Hotch's transfer. It was obvious that he wasn't happy with it and if she was trying to make him feel better she was coming off as, well, smarmy. I know it can't be easy having a husband in that job, but couldn't she have been a bit more supportive?

Can we just say a bit ICK for the unsubs killing method? When I saw the chisel and hammer I cringed, but when he went in to use it? I jumped, literally, even though they did the fade to black without showing anything (kittens were not pleased with jumping, btw, they like their human pillow to stay in one place while they sleep). That's one of the things about this show - people comment on how 'violent' it is, but they rarely actually show the violence. They'll cut or fade, but they didn't show him actually carving her heart out. They just don't gloss over or trivialize it.

LOL at Strauss offending the locals within 45 seconds of arriving on the scene. Only not funny. And my gosh woman, JJ is trying to politely say that you shouldn't criticize them because that'll make them even pissier about having to play with the big guys.

Man, I thought this guy was sick, then they showed you how he lured the women in. Using his kid??? That is just wrong. Oh man, I was hoping they'd find the woman. And the kid definitely knows what Dad is up to.

Yay! Here Emily and Hotch come to save the day!!! Yay for the paperwork being held up! Errr... make that Go Garcia! for holding up the paperwork.

Good thinking for Reid! Maybe make that 'yay for using personal experience'. Way to figure out which kid is probably the unsub's. Who happens to make furniture. And was just diagnoses with an inoperable brain tumor. Who's wife just left upon finding out. Yeah, I think he fits the profile.

Of course, Strauss would point out that they can't go in without probable cause. But the unsub has already thrown out the pattern with the last victim, dumping the body elsewhere. And he definitely looked to be about to kill her. Go Emily for walking in, even though she'd already turned in her badge and gun. Go Morgan for giving her his gun. Yay! They caught the bad guy! Nice point by the local cop, 'You're dying and this is what you want to leave your son?' *cue camera panning to handmade glass aquarium-chest type boxes with the hearts of the dead women*

Yay for team being back together, even if Hotch pretty much killed any possibility of climbing the career ladder.

Booo on Haley for moving out. Poor Hotch. (There are rumors on boards that Haley may be having an affair. They sure are setting it up to look that way - house phone ringing, no answer when Hotch answers but wife's phone immediately ringing. But would an illicit lover really do that? Her husband is an FBI agent and former DA, he's not dumb. It's the immediacy that gets me. Just wait a few minutes. If it was a lover he/she would have to have known that Hotch was home on suspension and that he and Haley could have been together at the time. I may not care for Haley, but I really don't want to condemn her to having an affair, so I'm going to assume it was her sister who HATES Hotch instead.)

And Gideon's gone. I didn't think they'd kill him off. And I like the road-trip to find himself angle.

Also, btw. LOVED Garcia and Morgan's flirting... "Tell me something I don't know." "And I'm hungry...." ROWR.

Numb3rs - Yay! Colby's back.

David pull your head outta your ass. PLEASE.

I actually sorta liked Liz in this ep. Good for her on not only telling Colby she wasn't partnering with him to give reports to Don AND good for her for basically telling Don the same.

*shudders* Having plastic surgery to become the 'twin' of someone you didn't know before then? Kinda creepy. But if it was good for work, and it apparently was because it sounds like enough guys have twin fantasies. But still, ewww... And now it was all for naught.

Funny that Charlie CLEANS to procrastinate writing his article. Kinda eww that he gave Amita a key. Okay, maybe not so eww, but he coulda warned Alan. In a way I don't blame Alan for being a bit miffed Amita has key, but at same time - he sold the place. Also, Amita - stop being a nag. Charlie's a grown man, he'll get to it when he's ready.

Man, you knew that guy was going to get killed the minute he asked Liz to meet him. Not at all surprising. Plus, you know, half hour mark. They had to do something.

All sorts of talk about how Colby is a hero and will have his pick of transfers. And letter from the director or someone big. You know he's going to stay (if only because, again, Dylan Bruno is signed on for the full season). All sorts of Angsty looks between him and David. Hopefully it'll all clear up soon.

No CSI or WAT because of knitting night now on Thursdays. May try to watch the CSI online just to give it a try, may not. Connection at home is almost as slow as dial-up, so I would have to do so at work over a lunch break. Or just wait for a rerun.

Gossip Girl is now rerunning on Sundays at 5:00, so I'm planning to stay caught up that way. Of course, that leaves me with two TV-free hours in between that and Cold Case, so we'll see how well I remember either.

The lack of interesting-to-me TV on Friday completely stymied me last night. I know a lot of people like FNL, but football drama not my thing. I was never a big Gray's fan (saw maybe two episodes), so Private Practice not pulling me in. I really want Women's Murder Club to start NOW (well, last night), thank you very much. Instead it's starting next week when I'll be out of town and my TV time will likely be slim. I'll have to see if I can wrangle my VCR into submission and find some blank tapes. Or hope that ABC will make it available online.

Must go now as boy!cat is being a whiney clingy thing insisted on being petted Just. So.
