They are the main couple of a manga by the title of Haou Airen (roughly translates to "The Supreme King's Mistress"). Basically, Karumi's an everygirl in Japan who saves a creepy/hot dude bleeding and hiding from gang members in an alley. She saves him and he repays her by ordering her to be kidnapped and brought to Hong Kong. You see, he's the incredibly powerful head of the mafia, and wants Karumi to be his woman. Because nothing says "sexy times" like a guy who has killed many people and gets his girlfriend via chloroform.
Also, it's along the lines of Hush, Hush in terms of dub-con. In fact, I'd dare say it's even worse. You can read up on it if you want, but it's REALLY NSFW.
"And Ponds FTW (Moffat better not kill them,or Divorce them :I"
Oh, he'd better not! One of the reasons I love those two is because after the angst and drama with Rose and Martha, we finally got a couple of companions who were happy with being friends with the Doctor, while being in love with each other. It's rare to find happily married characters in TV shows.
(Which reminds me, I should have put Zoe/Wash somewhere on the list of canon ships I love. Ah well. :|)
Nope. Despite threatening her with a gun if she leaves him, raping her repeatedly, beating up her friend, tearing off her clothes in public without her consent, and a bunch of other horrible things, Hakuron is supposed to be Kurumi’s One True Love. So much so that…(do you mind spoilers?)…
SPOILER ALERT (scroll down)
…at the end, when they decide to get married (no, seriously) and Hakuron is killed on their wedding day, he dies in Kurumi’s arms and Kurumi mourns him and it’s all supposed to be very tragic. No, I’m serious, Kurumi is actually *sad* that the rapist who abducted her, raped her, ruined her life, and constantly put her in danger is dead. And the reader is supposed to be sad as well.
Yeah, I read that and between that and the fact that the only reason Kurumi was happy with him was because she was given fucking AMNESIA to forget he raped her, I nearly had an aneurysm. Oh, and according to TV Tropes, a Drama CD has an alternate ending, where Hakuron DOESN'T die, and he and Kurumi end up happily married and with a daughter. Because marrying one's abuser and rapist always ends in blissful matrimony, yes.
Of course, this is from the same manga-ka who wrote about a girl who fell in love with Satan and ended the series with her abandoning being in Heaven to go marry Satan and spend an eternity in Hell as his queen... and this was a happy ending.
Oh goddamnit D: (On Karumi and Hakuron) also I didn't watch Doctor who very much before 11's run (I saw Water's of Mar's and liked it enough to see Matt smith..I fell in love around the Christmas carol. (I have gone back to see some of the 9th Doctor eps *Rose is Okay there but i'm not Huge on her) Haven't really seen Martha's eps (Don't forget the SAD that happened with Donna and she wasn't even in love with the Doctor)
