Mind the current, lad. [There's nothing wrong with taking a swim, but it is a river. Fair's fair.]

[Oh, hey, what? There's a guard up there. He looks up to call to the guy.]

I'll be okay!

[Hey, maybe that guy could help him out.]

Do you know if there's an ocean here?

[There's something comfortably familiar about having a conversation from a few solid feet up in the air.]

Not one that I've seen or smelled, as such. There is, however, a lake to the south and a former den of Zoras to the east.

[Frown, frown, frown. This isn't good. There was supposed to be an ocean and his boat, not a river and a lake. It was fairly obvious (thanks to his ever-expressive face) that he wasn't where he was supposed to be.]

Oh. [He decides to ask another question. Help a brother out, mister guard?]

[...Well, he hadn't expected the boy to be so uninformed.]

It's a land called Hyrule. Is it familiar to you?

[It isn't to the Captain, or wasn't before he set out to explore it a bit, which is why he asks.]

[Not much to be informed about, when you're floating along a river, unfortunately. Link frowns (more) at the name 'Hyrule'.]

Hyrule? But, that's-- [impossible. It's supposed to be underneath the ocean, which is apparently not here.]

Are you sure?

Quite sure, I'm afraid.

[Viscen straightens slightly, correcting the faulty posture he had taken on to talk to Link from over the gate ledge.]

Shall you come up here, or should I come to you? It will be easier to explain that way.

[Going up there would be way better than staying in the river. He starts to pull himself out, calling up as he does.]

I can go up. How do I get there?

There's a ladder on the inside of the gate. Come around and I'll point it out for you.

[The drawbridge is down and the way is open, so Link can come on around.]

[Awesome, let's get going! Still dripping wet, he makes his way across the drawbridge, marveling at the walls and the gate. None of the islands he'd been to had something like this!

Oh, hey, looking back up. Ladder, ladder, inside, around here?]

[Viscen's head appears over the top of the gate, followed by a pointing hand.]

Here, [he says, and his voice is kind. He has quite a bit of experience with children.]

[Link spots the area he's pointing at and nods. There it is. He climbs up the ladder, making sure his feet won't slip up, and makes his way to the top.

Nice view, btw. Link gawks for a bit before heading towards the guard. 'Sup, bro, have a smile and a small wave.]

[Viscen smiles in return, allowing the majority of his attention to rest on Link.]

I'm Link. [He rests his hands on his belt as he talks.]

I'm... I think I'm lost.
