A not so new playground...?

[A twirl here. A skip there. Though it was near dusk, the surroundings hardly decipherable save for the flicker of shadows borne of the small lantern dancing at his side, the creature knew exactly where to step, where to jump, to avoid an unfortunate tumble. With a blow of his horn he whirled again, performing a pirouette to an imagined audience before hopping from his perch atop the highest tree to the forest floor, giggling as he went.

It was lonely in the Sacred Grove, but the skull kid did not particularly care, for making his own fun was a pastime he quite enjoyed. Song and dance was more than enough to keep him entertained, and exploring every nook and cranny of the mysterious woods never got old.

He had to admit, however, that the rare visits from accidental, or not so accidental, tourists, was particularly entertaining. Especially that last character… A green-clad young man, one of the few individuals who managed to follow him all the way to his secret hiding place. That was the most fun he’d had in ages!

Deep in thought as he bounced around, the little imp suddenly lost his footing, faceplanting with a loud ‘thud’ on an unfamiliar tree stump.

… Unfamiliar? But... he knew every inch of these woods, his domain!

Or maybe not so alien... Yes. He did know this place, though how long it had been since he had last been here, he did not even remember. The Lost Woods… the place he had first changed to his current form.

…How… Interesting!]
