Yuletide! \o/
I am not yet prepared to put up my Dear Yuletide Author letter yet, but I have my assignment! Am I allowed to say which fandom I'm writing? I can't recall and it's best to be safe, so I won't be specific, but let me say:
I'm going to at once have fun this year and also tear my hair out. Why? Because yuletide did it to me again. I'm required to list four fandoms to offer that I can write and I always put in at least two fandoms immediately because I can and will write them. Then I agonize over the last two and get one and then another and so have my last-resort fandom, the one I pray the yuletide sorter won't make me write.
...and inevitably, I get it. Happened last year, too. (No, I'm not writing oglaf fic this year.) So I'm writing for a fandom I've never written before and fingers crossed I don't screw it up. ...On the other hand, this is a chance to have a lot of fun and the excuse I probably need to write fic for this fandom.
This is also an excuse to immerse myself in the source material again, so wheeee! \o/
tl;dr This is going to be a fun year, even if it's not what I was expecting.
(Oh, and side note! NaNo is going fine, if a wee bit slowly and I'm a wee bit behind but I am confident that I can catch up and reach 50k in the next week or so. :D My main character is currently in danger again, and I'm tempted to call him a damsel in distress, as it's kinda funny to me. XD)
