Don't Hate Me 'Cause I'm Conservative
My daddy has some incredible debating skills. And I know this because we were arguing in the car about that one issue that every parent wishes would not come up. That discussion that every parents must have with their children. That one ubiquitous conversation topic over dinner, that heated debate over apple pie.
That’s right. Abortion.
"But life is just so important..." I began.
"A fetus is not a life!” Dad interrupted. “A fetus is an extension of the mother’s body! It cannot exist without the mother!"
"But if you leave an infant alone, it will die. How is that different?"
Dad glared at me. "It is different!"
"But-"
"It’s a woman’s right to choose," Dad bellowed, turning overripe tomato red. "Or you’re grounded!"
Man, can my father deliver a persuasive argument.
