This week is going down as the most unproductive week I've had... ever. That sounds like a stretch, but I honestly don't recall doing less. I guess that's alright. I took the week off. So, I would assume being lazy is not a bad thing. nekochef has stated that I've been sucked too much into the American mindset. He's right. The week has been needed.

With that said, there are quite a few things I would like to accomplish this year on personal and professional levels. Taking it easy won't be an option. My goal is to accomplish them without sacrificing my time or sanity. I believe this is doable. I guess I'm going to find out.

An area that I can shore up that would likely help in this endeavor is better manage my time and resources. I've been notoriously bad at this for my entire life. I'm amazed that I've been successful up to this point. I've considered taking courses or seminars in this area, but I've felt that I could or would do better learning it on my own. That's starting to sound like I've sold myself the Brooklyn Bridge. Now that's an amazing feat!

I've stumbled on Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity" through various blogs I read regularly. It appears not be cooky or hokey as most self-help related books. In fact, quite the opposite. Yeah, yeah, there's some feel good stuff thrown in, but quite a bit has resonated with me and my experiences from my athletic background. Reading a few of the blurbs from David Allen's Coach's Corner had me asking myself, "Why didn't I make the correlations between the skill sets developed in my athletics to my working/personal life sooner?" So even it turns out hokey I think I may be able to get some useful information from that book. It will be my next book purchase.

Matt has me feeling guilty. He's been so cuddly lately that I feel bad that I will be traveling and leaving him. Cleo's been a good influence in that regard, although indirectly. She's claimed everything as her's except for me. So, I think he's realized, yeah, I better love Jim up.

Oh, and I love food. That's continuing as another trend. I'm enjoying discovering yummy places to eat.
