The First Communion is usually an exciting event for both the children and their parents.  After collecting refreshments and I guess a certificate, boys and girls will frantically look for their parents and run to them.

Friends warned me of the problems of photographing inside a church.  It looks well-lit from the outside, but in the inside, light can be very tricky.

Girls at the Holy Ghost church in Bangalore waited with glee to visit the dais for their First Communion and also some cake and soft drink after prayers.  Each of them were dressed in their best white dresses.
