Just stupid.
I took my supper into the mountains above Santa Barbara and tried to make out as many landmarks as I could. Saw the harbor, State Street's futilely bent javelin which breaks not but the skin of unassailable Pacific. Near the grip of the colossal weapon was The Museum, citadel for the golden son of Peleus, and of Clio, and of fair Melpomene, and for a limited time Tamayo ($9.00 for Adults, $6 For Students and Seniors). I saw also the proud Granada, the sky-lancing Arlington, and sprawling La Cumbre. The high tower of Stork was but a grain in the distance.
I stupidly offered to pay for the catering at my sisters wedding. That's food, wine, and champagne for 150 persons. The offer was gladly accepted.
Dana is home! We watched her New York slide show tonight. She brought me a Statue of Liberty lighter. Museum quality.
