Just today I realized, how closed minded people can really be. I mean, sure everybody hears about discrimination and how it effects the free world today, but when you hear bashing of a certain race/type in person, it's shocking. Sure, I've been judged against in the past because I am a Muslim, but I cannont stand it when people just talk about others like they are animals or not worthy to live because of the way they are.

What had happenned was that I had gone to lunch today with Matt, Derek, and Maria. We were sitting around Sardina's eating pizza, and somehow, the topic of religion was brought up. In the beginning, it was just casual discussion as I explained to Maria that Islam is NOT a polytheistic religion, and very similary to both Christianity and Judaism.

After that was all done with, Maria brought up Judgement Day. Things were still fine unil she SAID that all homosexuals would go to hell. Derek, a devout Christian, immediatley agreed with her. Me and Matt were quite angered by what they had said, so we told them that Homosexuals don't have a choice. It's natural for them; just a chemical imbalance in their bodies.

Derek and Maria started talking about how Homosexuals were sinners in the minds of God and how they would all be banished to hell because they had committed a dastardly crime and how THEY DIDN'T DESERVE TO LIVE.

Ok from right there that was it.. I didn't want to be around them anymore. Sure, I respect and try to understand everybody's beliefs, but anybody who talks about how ANYBODY isn't as good just because of the way they are, is just sick. It's pathetic.

I didn't appreciate them bashing what me and Matt believe either. They turned a discussion into a gay-bashing fest. Also, Matt had said clearly, that he was a Christian, but he believed no such thing. Maria just responded by saying, "We'll see what happenneds when Jesus comes to judge."

It just makes me sick; just disgusted to see someone who I thought was my friend to be so closed minded, and to bash me because of what I believe.

Am I out of line here? Somebody please tell me.

Other news: The superintendent performance went excellent. We were dragged out there at 7:30 in the morning......just to play throught the candence twice. What fun.

Last night, Me, Mike, Tuna and Henri (aka Niobe), had quite an intelligent conversation........about cheese.

*Raise some eyebrows there eh?*

Cheese is so versatile....heh
