Really if a piece of AU fanfic had to be approved by JKR and made canon, I fail to see why it had to be something so shabbily written.
I'm given to understand that on stage it's better, possibly because the special effects help one forget the absurd plot holes, poor story, and so on.
Really though, I've read stories of far higher quality than this dealing with the very same characters and themes.
