I had my first med school interview yesterday, in Glasgow (the first choice). To say I was brickin it is an understatement. Paul took the day off, went with me and carried all my stuff and brought me a change of clothes for afterwards. What a gem.
Definitely had the good cop-bad cop scenario, I kept it together pretty well and only flailed my arms around once or twice while talking. I walked out smiling big time and feeling great. The thing is, apparently this is how a lot of people feel walking out of there, so my anticipation is rising in a negatively correlated manner to my confidence. I can't believe I just wrote that without thinking about it. I am officially a loser.
Interview now in St. Andrew's next Wednesday, stil nervous, but not nearly as much. Have to wait till MID-MARCH to find out about both. Killer.
On a positive note, my long awaited hoodie arrived in the mail this morning, and I'm going to see Fiddler on the Roof tonight (I cannot stress how much I love this show). And now meeting friend for coffee--what a lovely day this will be!
