Well I negated at least one PA resident's vote today. Actually, it was on an electronic voting machine so probably not. Voted for the very first time in my life. There was no parade for me as there should have been. No cheering throngs of morally questionable women battling amongst themselves for the honor of being the first one in line to falatiate me. The entire affair tasted bland and was in need of salt and pepper.
Last presidential election I couldn't vote because the actual President of the United States kept me working all day. Today, it was a supreme effort to just muster the energy necessary to waddle the four blocks down hill and into the presidential future. Constantly being hounded by people handing out this type of flier or that, I just wish I had a large sign that read, "Mind your own damn business."
I can't wait to complain about the new president. Republican or Democrat. I'm going to whine and complain like a 14 yrs old girl having her first period.
Just like 49.5% of the rest of the country.
He'll be the reason that my souffle won't rise properly. He'll be the reason that PA can't have a balanced budget. He'll be the reason that a type of microorganism is endangered in teh Chinese Sea. He'll be the reason congress will pass so many bullshit bills and laws that effect the general population of America (on the whole) far more than the President actually does on a day-to-day basis. He'll be the reason that cities and states don't maintain their own infrastructure and obligations and need billions of dollars of federal bailout aid even though they charge their respective taxpayers billions of dollars every year over several years and decades to do the job they are entrusted to do.
He'll be the reason! He'll be the reason! He'll be the reason!
Oh, wait.
Yes, I can wait.
If my guy doesn't win, I'm going to suck it up like a man and an adult, and deal with it. Only occasionally going out to buy a "He's not MY PRESIDENT" bumper-sticker when I feel like being a big douche-bag.
Fuck it.
I'm much more confident in my local election choices than my federal.
i went through the motions!
