While my body is tired the spirit feels strong; awake even. After working for 36 hours this week, even after calling off on monday, I feel more alive then I have in months. Years even.
A new sense of optimism or maybe an energy has gripped me as of late. A new generation of the family has begun. I am no longer part of generation "two point 'oh". There are already those that will come after me and already have begun to. On top of that I now have two sister's through eventual marriage to count as my own with a third who is and has already been one if not in name than in spirit.
In short; life is good.
School starts in nineteen days and that is another good thing to look forward to. Hopefully I will complete my degree in four years and be able to move on to bigger and better things. Even if I cannot though, the sheer prospect of learning more, of bettering myself has me filled with motivation.
Micro-Biology, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Literature of the America's and an introduction to the view points of the human body as seen from European's from the Dark Ages through the Enlightenment are the classes I will be taking this semester. The course seems pretty interesting to me.
Work will have to take a backseat to school if it gets in the way. God bless the GI Bill.
To all those who will read this I can only hope that you are having fortunes as good as mine seems to be going.
