I wish I could protect you. I wish I could be there for you, where I can just reach out to you if you need it.

I wish you didn't have to go so far away.

We made so many promises we didn't keep in the end. It hurts to think after next week, I'll have to wait for years before we fulfill them.

Please don't forget. We were salt and pepper, ham and eggs. We still are and we will be.
