What a fabulous experience! So glad you all had a lovely time!

I was content with the book. I'm very glad that I got it all read before encountering any major spoilers.

I was pleased with it, too, especially the part about Harry bravely going to his death. The juxtaposition of the funny names and lighter parts with the very serious themes makes my head spin a bit at times, but in a good way.

If there had to be an epilogue, I'd love to have learned what they did in life beyond marry and reproduce, and I agree with you that it would've been great to see at least one canonically gay character. But mostly: good story!

I was cautious about the internet in the days leading up to it, but my main danger of encountering spoilers was from myself after I bought it. I've gotten into the bad habit of looking at the end of books first and then not bothering to pay enough attention as I read, which doesn't enhance my enjoyment. This time I read properly from beginning to end and had that wonderful sense of the story unfolding.
